Is Bragging in Texas Hold’Em a Winning Technique?

Posted under poker games & poker tactics & poker tournament

poker tactics
No doubt the most despised characters at the no limit Texas Hold’em poker table most every time will always be the attention-seeker. You have an idea of the poker player I’m telling you about. He’s the one that takes a seat at the no-limit Texas Hold’em table and makes evident you’re aware that he wants to take all of your no limit Texas Hold’em poker chips; exiting the Texas Hold’em table with the very same outlook that he showed-up with. Even if he gets killed, he has the idea that he is the top poker player in the world.

Even as the bulk of Texas Hold’em players would rather dodge opponents of this type, there exist other players who argue that show-boating might have its compensation. So, the doubt you may have is: Is there honestly an accomplished Texas Hold’em Poker boaster or a bad Texas Hold’em Poker boaster? Showing-off about how accomplished you are in Texas Hold’em Poker is essentially just like affirming: “I’m the greatest no-limit Texas Hold’em player on the globe, always remember to stay on your A-game while you’re playing a poker tournament against me!” Most certainly that is the worst vibe to give out playing Texas Hold’em Poker. Moreover, spilling too much info. about your poker playing techniques can be harmful to your poker game. You unquestionably do not want these folks to know how you bet on certain poker hands.

Then there are those Texas Hold’em Poker players who could use shooting off their mouths as a sort of Texas Hold’em trick, or bluff. Shooting off your mouth when you are given a particular poker hand could bewilder your opponents and leave them pretty confused about your poker playing technique. Some people may consider this technique somewhat deceitful, but it is important to consider that there are not too any rules against it in no limit Texas Hold’em poker. Texas Hold’em Poker is all about doing the best with what you’re dealt and taking advantage of it to the limit.

The Game of Poker is not just for Poker Pros Anymore

Posted under poker & poker games & poker players & poker tips

Texas Holdem’ used to be accessible only in hotels in Vegas or from electronic poker machines, but now it is more in style than ever in Las Vegas thanks to the the internet.

The famous Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino, is now banking on this new found popularity with its new audience-participation show called “The Real Deal!” in its showroom located in the Venetian Resort and Casino, starting in October.

The new game show will mix comedy and game show elements to entertain its live audience. The audience will also be able to take part in the well loved game of Texas Holdem’ alongside the best poker players in the world. Many prizes are available for the audience including a chance to win 1$ million.

In “The Real Deal!” the audience will play with players like Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu. Around 10 professional players have already signed up for the poker game show. The audience will be able to play along with the 90 minute game thanks to handheld, wireless, touch screen devices located on each seat.

“People who take a vacation in Las Vegas, Nevada want to play poker games,” Negreanu says, “but obviously they can’t play in a big game with the players such as Doyle or Phil Hellmuth. But, in this show, they actually can.” When the show begins, six audience members will be chosen to sit at the poker table on stage with two professional players. Each audience member is then involved in the action by being dealt a unique poker hand on their devices. Everyone in the showroom is then involved in the action with big-screen monitors located on stage.

The show’s producers say that you don’t have to be a pro poker player to participate in the poker game. There are other ways to build your point total, that doesn’t involve playing poker necessarily. Betting on the suit of the next poker card or trying to guess which state a particular audience member is from, are just some of the ways to come out a winner in this game.

The show’s creators are also betting on the great personalities of the professional players to have great moments. Poker players like Scotty Nguyen, the flamboyant five-time winner of the World Series of Poker, definitely knows how to entertain the audience and is a sure bet for some great TV moments in this TV poker game show .

The battle for online gaming continues

Posted under online poker & poker & poker games

The fight for the federal regulations to apply the Internet gambling ban should stop, said four lawmakers in letters sent to the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-Mass., and three other committee members, Reps. Ron Paul, R-Texas; Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill.; and Peter King, D-N.Y. have all signed the letters that were issued to the Federal Reserve.

The letters come after a House hearing where the financial agencies representatives expressed that they were under pressure to write regulations to carry out the online gaming restrictions approved in 2006. Louise Roseman, director of bank operations and payment systems for the Federal Reserve, testified an Internet gambling ban is far from the reality lived by many online sportsbetting users or online poker players in the United Sates. Treasury Department representatives Roseman and Valerie Abend, have agreed the 2006 legislation is unclear.

Congressmen Frank and Paul introduced a bill to prevent the Federal Reserve and Treasury Department from going forward with regulations to implement the Online gambling ban. Congressman Frank has previously introduced a bill to fragment the ban and require the Department of Treasury to regulate gambling

Important decisions in rakeback

Posted under poker & poker games & poker players & poker strategy & poker tactics & texas holdem

If I told you every important decision in poker was actually an easy decision would you believe me? Probably not, but if you believe in your inner self and have inner balance and control then you can hear and listen to your gut feeling and follow through with your gut feeling. Your gut feeling or intuition can be your best friend if you know it is right in it, trust it and listen to it. Your inner self is that first feeling you get, the majority of people never believe or trust in there gut feeling and dismiss the feeling as just a thought and then think more and end up with no real confident answer or decision.
Everyone knows that one guy that seems to just seems to float through life and always gets so lucky, well that guy probably listens to his inner self. He’s probably laid back, never really worried or never panics just always seems so sure.
Your inner self isn’t the solution to all your problems and your gut feeling isn’t always right, just because your gut feeling isn’t always right it’s not correct to stop listening to it, you need to understand that your gut feeling is the best tool that will help your more times then not, so listen to it unconditionally.

You have most likely heard the miracle stories about dogs sensing stuff before it happens, or animals acting weird or behaving weird before major events happen. This is because animals rely on inner self, they trust and rely on instinct for survival. They don’t have time to thoroughly think things through or contemplate, they feel there gut trust it and react on it.

This is not to say that you shouldn’t think about decisions or problems and should just do what your first inner self is, because evaluation is an important and critical part of the decision making process. Going over all the variables presented to you to come up with a conclusion. So evaluation is important and should be done, but you should be able to feel your first natural instinct and let it play a major role in your decision making process. You should give your gut feeling the best value on the list of variables that you consider when making a decision.

For the majority of people they will never be able to tap into there inner self or will never be able to know when they hear it or feel it, this is because in order to hear and listen your gut feeling you need to have balance in your mind and body, you need to have emotional control over yourself, you need to be in touch with your feelings. Everyone has instinct and gut feeling so if you don’t know what your gut feeling is it’s probably because your mind is clouded and cannot clearly identify when your gut feeling kicks in and talks to you.

Being able to hear and listen to your gut feeling can become a very powerful tool in your poker playing, you have to listen to your gut though, the first instinct or thought you have is usually always the correct decision. Your mind is a powerful database more powerful then any computer and has a hard drive that stores every hand you play, every bet that people make, every situation that happens. So your gut feeling is usually what the mind feels based on your database of similar Hold’em poker situations.

So practice listening to your self, identify when your gut tells you something and believe in it and use it in life, use it on the Texas Hold’em tables. Hopefully this will help you improve your Hold’em game and make you a better player.

Stepping up to the 2008 World Series of Poker Tournament

Posted under casino poker & online poker & poker & poker games & poker players & poker tournament

There are a tremendous amount of individuals already focused on competing at the 2008 World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas. These players have already begun to practice and hone their abilities to the highest possible level of skill in order to reasonably compete against the high level of competition that will be present at the 2008 World Series of poker tournament. Naturally, everyone who intends to make this journey to the Vegas area is determined to win and consider themselves to have a shot at the bracelet at the final table. With all of these individuals so determined to win, it can be extraordinarily difficult for any one player to claim victory predictably. Because of the existing level of overwhelming competition, the player is generally required to make all sorts of concessions and make the most of their abilities, putting forth an extreme effort to compete against these extremely skilled players. When competing against the level of experienced players at the World Series of poker tournament, nothing but the most experienced players will be able to make it to the final event.

For those players who are not already planning their strategy for the 2008 World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas, many simply do not have the skill or funds to finance such an extraordinarily expensive trip. But for those players who are talented and skilled enough, competing in the 2008 World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas is a critical matter that stands head and shoulders above any other mediocre tournament that the player might have competed in in the past. The level of professional players at the World Series of poker tournament is far higher than that found in the run-of-the-mill online poker rooms or at the local casinos that many players have built their skills at through endless years of practice. Competing against these types of extraordinarily skilled players can be nearly impossible without taking the time to build up the player’s ability to a sufficiently competitive level suitable enough to take on this type of challenge.

By taking the time to build the player’s skill level to an extraordinary level, the professional level poker tournament player can theoretically succeed at the World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas. But it is interesting to note that there are only a few winners out of the many thousands upon thousands of individuals who make the journey to the Las Vegas World Series of poker tournament on an annual basis, raising the odds to extraordinarily low high level for the inexperienced player.

Is the World Series of Poker Tournament in Las Vegas Destroying Regular Competition?

Posted under casino poker & poker & poker celebrities & poker games & poker strategy & poker tournament & texas holdem

When an event such as the World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas is advertised and hyped to such an extent that it is at the forefront of the popular conscious of the world, it can sometimes unbalance the level of activity and interest that takes place in the gaming and gambling capital in the desert. With this extremely polarizing effect, the players who are fascinated with the World Series of poker might forego traveling to the area for any other reason throughout the year, preferring to save up for the one big shot at the World Series of poker tournament. While it is true that the World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas is one of the most exhilarating and exciting experiences in the gaming and gambling world, it does not make sense to put all of the emphasis on this one event to the exclusion of all other events throughout the year, this is exactly what happens as the Las Vegas World Series of poker tournament becomes more and more hyped through marketing and advertising efforts around the world. With professional level players who travel less and less, intending to put all their effort into this one annual competition, the revenues generated throughout the rest of the year in Las Vegas tend to dwindle at the gaming and gambling tables only to resurge again when the famous events such as the World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas are held. Beginning weeks in advance and lasting till long after the event itself is over, the hyping and marketing of the event has much to do with Las Vegas hotels and casinos and their determination to earn revenue from the investments that they have made in these types of events as well as the excitement and buzz that builds around the tournament on its own.

With the extreme popularity of this one type of event, it makes it easy to overlook the wealth of Texas Hold’em poker tournaments that take place throughout the year in various locations including Las Vegas and other cities around the world. By overshadowing and even eclipsing the popularity of the lesser-known Texas Hold’em poker tournament events, the World Series of poker tournament in Las Vegas creates a warping effect on the Las Vegas economy that is focused on the one world-famous event to the exclusion of all others, creating a vacuum of advertising and exposure that is detrimental to the Las Vegas economy in general due to the lack of year-round income and effort to stay strong at the Texas Hold’em poker tournaments.
